Raise the ritual knife on guard for a moment: anything shot or thrown from afar (ghost spells, bandit bullets, thrown objects) that arrives in that window is knocked away and shattered. A thrown object parried this way breaks and can’t be picked up · only ranged attacks can be parried, not melee blows · levels make the window longer and the wait shorter.
